When I was a wee lad, my mom would regularly ask me, "Chris, what do you want to do when you grow up?". For years, I could never provide her an answer. She would helpfully prompt, "A doctor? An astronaut? Maybe a fireman?" I would just look her right in the eyes and shake my head, "no".
When I was 7, I made up my mind. I waited weeks for her to nag me again, and when she finally asked, I was ready. "I know what I want to do when I grow up!" I told my mother, "I want to open a candy store and give my candy to all the little boys."
As a young adult, I lived and played and romanced and partied around the world. Repeatedly, I found myself entangled in the most interesting, most delicious, must bizarre love affairs. Looking back upon my misadventures, it's clear that my hedonistic lifestyle was entirely different from my childhood dream.
This is a collection of stories about all the boys who've shared a little of my candy—I promise that each one is 99% true.
